Architectural Design Development

What Does Design Development Involve?

Following the schematic design phase, the architectural process moves into design development. While the schematic design is the first look you'll have at your new building, during design development you will see more details and engineering systems introduced.

This is also the point where Architect and Client proceed to flesh out further details and aspects of the project. There is a lot to take in during this phase, but let Lam Architecture and its experienced approach make it easy for you, so that you can concentrate on your core business!

Lam Architecture maintains offices in Saddle Brook and Washington Township in New Jersey. While our projects originated in Edison, Paramus, surrounding areas in Northern and Central New Jersey, we are expanding our operations throughout the New York Metropolitan region.

Watch Your Building Take Shape

During design development, the evolved schematic design is further detailed, incorporating Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Structural elements, Egress, and other realities.

This is also the phase in which construction materials and systems are proposed and selected. You may think of this as the stage to begin thinking of your Project in more real terms, but still on paper.
